We are a sub-group of the Blue Mountains Creative Art Centre, located at the corner of Hare and Moore Streets, Glenbrook.
Due to the Corona Virus BMCAC has implemented a number of safeguards including, social distancing and hand sanitiser/cleaning processes.
The Life Drawers are a sub-group of the Blue Mountains Creative Art Centre which is located on the corner of Hare and Moore Streets, Glenbrook in the main building.
Although this is a tutor-less group it is an opportunity to share the experience with like-minded artists while honing your life drawing skills. We stop midway for a cuppa and a chat and the sessions are held throughout the year, with a 6 week break each Christmas.
The weekly fee of $20 covers the cost of the model and room use and is only paid on actual days attended, eg. no term fees.
Importantly though, all life drawers must be paid up BMCAC members as this is an insurance requirement.
Consequently, first time attendees must pay an additional $10 for immediate insurance coverage, that is $30 at the first session. The $10 will only provide insurance cover for the one session.
Alternatively, you can choose to pay the annual or part annual fee upfront at the first session. Paying for annual or part annual membership at the first session means you will be covered for insurance purposes for the remainder of the year and is a more economical option overall.
The annual membership fee is $50 however new attendees will be charged $25 if starting after June. Membership can be completed online here: https://www.bmcac.org.au/membership/
Becoming a "Glenbrook Life Drawing Group" member entitles you to participate in both the annual Life Drawing Group Exhibition and the BMCAC Members Exhibition. It entitles you to a discount on your art supplies from some stores and you will also receive the Centre's monthly magazine, "Creations", which is full of art news and events.
